  13. WebClipper™ is a free plug-in that's included as an extra goodie with ColorSafe™. It corrects the color shifts that routinely occur when using Photoshop to perform color reduction so after color reduction, colors from the Web safe palette are still exact matches.

  15. To use WebClipper™ change your image back to RGB mode after changing to indexed mode then run the plug-in. It has no options dialog, and just does its stuff. Then change back to indexed mode for saving as a GIF.

  17. The visual change is quite subtle, but using Web clipper will ensure that colors used from the Web safe palette while creating your image will still be exact matches after adaptive color reduction in Photoshop.

  19. That's all there is to it, but it should end a lot of palette headaches with Photoshop.
